Hi, my name is Nima. I am a QTBIPOC non-binary Somatic Therapist & Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.

My practice is decolonial body therapy centering Queer, Trans, BIPOC, Poly/ENM, Kink/BDSM, Neurodiverse populations.

My approach is sex-positive, body-positive, gender-affirming. I believe in the power of embodied & creative cultural transformation & the deconstruction of colonial gender, sexual, relational binaries.

My work is informed by Somatic Experiencing, a method for building nervous system resiliencies towards recovery from personal, relational, collective traumas.

Western therapy has historically centered cisheteropatriarchal, neurotypical, mononormative, white supremacist norms as part of the colonial project to oppress & control Queer, Trans, BIPOC bodies & disconnect us from body, earth, eros, culture, & each other.

As a brown QTBIPOC Iranian immigrant I know that navigating the world as a Multicultural Queer, Trans, or Neurodivergent person you may have lived experience of suffering, harm, oppression, & marginalization.

It may feel like your body is turning against you & that you have to mask parts of yourself to survive.

No wonder relationships can be so hard. When you’re working so hard to feel safe in your body & mask in the world it can all feel like too much.

It need not be this way.

Decolonial body therapy means rediscovering your body as a cultural home, a rich flowing wellspring of vitality, creativity, & strength that deepens relationship to self, earth, ancestors, community, & spirit.

Decolonial body therapy centers refusal or resistance to the colonial paradigm and embodying authentic expression.
