*I have current openings for LGBTQ couples, children or adolescents for in-person sessions in San Francisco*
I am deeply committed to working with LGBTQIA+ adults and adolescents. I work with clients struggling with relationships (including polyamory/consensual non-monogamy), anxiety, self-exploration and substance use. I utilize a trauma-informed approach to therapy as I find that many LGBTQIA+ individuals struggle disproportionately with mental health issues due to cultural and societal challenges in their personal and professional lives. I provide an inclusive space free of judgment where clients can feel supported in exploring and expressing all parts of themselves.
My clinical practice is integrative and draws from various theoretical orientations. I use attachment theory as a base for understanding how we make sense of our own experiences and how we relate to others. I offer EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to address trauma, anxiety and negative thought patterns.
Reflecting on factors that shape my work in the field of psychotherapy, my own internal focus on self-discovery and healing has been highly influential in who I am as a person and as a therapist. I invite you to contact me for a 15-minute consultation to see if we might be a good fit to help you on your path toward self-improvement.
